Last week, we witnessed the first visit of a Greek Prime Minister to Turkey after 50 years or so. This visit was being planned some years now and at last, it took place.
Thus, it was a big step for the relations of the two countries, even if the talks did not result into a breakthrough agreement...
I personally believe that love and hate are the different sides of the same coin. I also believe that making peace and being a good neighbour is far more difficult than threatening or making war. So, for two countries like Greece and Turkey, it is much more for their common interest to sit down and talk their differencies over in a friendly environment. People in the region nowdays have much more to share than to argue about.
