3 weeks to go.

3 weeks to go. People around the world are looking forward to this election. People are looking forward to the day that W leaves the white house and senator Obama takes his place.
It is really time for change. The U.S needs it, the world needs it.
Hang on in there!
P.S: Bush's narrow - minded policy at it's best towards Greece: Greek citizents are still required to go through bureocratic procedures (visa) to visit the states. W is "punishing" Greece who does not obey in the FYROM issue and signing with Russia for guns and energy pipelines. Sigh!

Blog Action Day. Poverty.

Today, bloggers all around the world discuss a major problem. Poverty. It's about people who live in "developing" countries with less than a dollar a month or so. Considering the world economic crisis poverty is enchancing in "developed" western countries as well.
I bet it is time for people (like us) who live in warm houses and spend so much on all kinds of worthless things to start doing something about it. Start thinking and helping people in need in every way we can. Because people finally can make a difference.

The economic depression, a lesson

Even if someone is not an expert in economic issues, he can understand that the economic crisis is a result of two major reasons: greed and maleficient U.S foreign and domestic policy.
Greed is the substance of every man but when it comes to destroying peoples lives, from a point and then, the need for money and material things tends to succumb. There is only the need to survive. Games like the mass offer of loans, the rise of oil prices and the banks' tendency to invest into thin air are now being punished by the circumstances. Major bankers and stock brokers did everything they could to accumulate wealth for themselves without thinking that there is a limit in people's need to consume.
On the other hand, W's policy (if there was any - excluding the Polson bill) failed terribly, in a way that everyone now is wondering what did this man offer to his nation or the world. He didn't even offer countries like Iraq democracy, as he said he would.
His successor, (Mc Cain) is trying to persuade the world that he will do better. Anyone can do better than Bush, that's the truth. The matter is who can do best. And that is Barack Obama.
It is now time for everyone, especially for those who have the world's economy at their hands to reconsider and realise that survival is a stronger enstinct than greed.
A new economic era is beggining. I hope/believe that this era will be characterized by a spirit of economic sanity with a turn towards people who really need.
